Just because you’re quarantined at home doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate mom for Mother’s Day! She still deserves to be pampered and spoiled and she probably needs it even more this year! Whether she likes to be pampered, would like some help doing chores and errands, or would love a homemade meal, here are some ways to pamper mom this Mother’s Day.
- Set up a manicure / pedicure station with all the necessary tools: nail clippers, nail buffer, nail file, cuticle oil, nail polish and lotion.
- Make her a DIY Brown Sugar Lip Scrub with: one part honey, one part coconut oil and one part brown sugar. Mix all ingredients together, put into containers and store in the refrigerator.
- Face mask – try a sheet mask, mud mask and/or eye patches.
- Set up the bath tub as an oasis complete with slippers, candles, a fluffy robe, bath bombs, body scrubs, bath bubbles, relaxing music and champagne.
- Make her a “Mom Survival Kit Jar” that contains everything your mom needs to “survive” quarantine. Some ideas: Chapstick, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, energy drink mix packets, candy, gum, chocolate, gift cards, etc.
- Flowers! Many floral delivery options are still available.
- Give mom the gift of a clean house! Do all the household chores for the day (or week if you’re feeling extra generous).
- Run errands for her so she doesn’t have to leave the house.
- Get mom a new book or magazine to read or an Audible subscription.
- Snacks! Think flavored coffee and teas, chocolates, a cheese and cracker tray, gourmet popcorn or whatever your mom’s favorite snacks are.
- Make her breakfast in bed or her favorite dinner. Another option is to order takeout from her favorite restaurant.
